UNILAG Lecturer Afeez Baruwa Has Bagged A 21-Year Jail Term For Harassing Female Teenage Student

Afeez Baruwa, a part-time lecturer at the University of Lagos, has been sentenced to 21- years in prison by an Ikeja high court on Thursday, February 20, for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old admission seeker. The Nation reports that Justice Josephine Oyefeso presiding over the case convicted Baruwa of a one-count charge of rape brought against him. The trial judge delivering her judgment said: “The prosecution has proven his case beyond a reasonable doubt. I found him guilty of the charge. I cannot begin to imagine the emotional trauma of the girl. The convict offended his family, the victim, the society and God. Baruwa I hereby sentenced you to 21 years imprisonment Maximum, this is my judgment.”
