Pastor Chris Oyakhilome the founder of the popular church Christ Embassy insisted in one of his sermon to his congregation that masturbation is not a sin.
Due to the questions from members of the public who seemed confused about the going story that he described masturbation not being a sin by his church members was made known during a church service while Pastor Chris was presenting his sermon.
The Believers Love World pastor claimed that there is no place in the Bible that condemned this act and members should not deprive themselves of this opportunity.
According to a new report, it was gathered that Pastor Chris said God is not offended by the practice but by any habit that takes hold of one’s mind and it has resulted in widespread condemnation and the act in itself is not a sin against God, but Satan uses it to oppress the people of God making them feel ineffective in the things of God.
Pastor Chris did called his members to attention that people should rather see the issue from a biblical perspective rather than seeing it as his personal opinion.
“What I find in many Christians is that not many of them even have an understanding of the concept; what is sin.”
He emphasized that Jesus actually said whoever looks at another woman lustfully has committed adultery in his heart, adding that means “the sin was committed in the heart.
“If you say that imagination goes with masturbation, then where is the sin?
He added that “The sin is, therefore, your imagination of sin,”.
“it is not what you do with your hand that is the problem; it is what caused whatever you do. That means your sin begins from your heart.
“You can have these imaginations while reading a book, you can have these wrong imaginations while eating your food.
“So the evil conceptions of your heart is where you got a problem, so what do you clean your hands or your heart?”
He, then, advised that people shouldn’t accept something because a elderly person or a pastor said it, but that they should search and read the Bible or get materials that would help them to understand such issues better
